Each book is covered in a handmade dustcover with a cyanotype, made by the artist.
“It was a cold Thursday afternoon and the grey light of the January sky was lending the green an absurd intensity. There was a slim table in front of him and another chair on the other side. Some papers, neatly stacked, an old accounting book, a sharpened pencil. A fake plant in one corner. These objects had gravity and a meaning only known to themselves. All their surfaces were weirdly absorbent. When he aimed his eyes at the book, he felt a soft pull on his irises, as if his looking was passive and his gaze was taken from him by the cover.”
